Hurricane Sandys Damage to Our Area, Huntington and Melville!

Normally we would post a story about dogs and pets, but since we were hit by Hurricane Sandy, we thought everyone would like to see the damage this storm has done to our area. (South Huntington and Melville)
We have 29 photos here, so it may take a few seconds to load.
Of course our girl Penny has to check out the scene to make sure everything is alright.
Please leave comments for us at the bottom of this blog or email us.
By the way, the photo with the stop sign is my favorite, its telling Hurricane Sandy to please stop.

  1. No wonder so many people lost power. What a mess! My person says she's been praying for everyone that was affected by that storm.

  3. Thanks Mel...:-)
No one I knew was hurt but we were without power for 10 days!
Alot of roads were blocked off and to top it off we had a Gas shortage so you had to wait on a 2 hour line just to buy gas.
You preyed that once you arrived at the pump that they even had gas. Could only buy $40.00 at a time. then they stated the Odd / Even days.
We HOPE this never happens again.
